The hotel itself was built in 1999 and the impressive main building houses the Reception area, Bar, Dining Room and Conference Rooms. This beautifully light and airy building has high arched beamed ceilings and has terracing offering breathtaking views over the manicured gardens, the bay and the Natural Park. The dining room can comfortably hold around 140 people inside with a further 140 on the terrace outside. The commercial kitchen is around 150m2 and is fully equipped with state-of-the-art equipment along with cold rooms, food preparation areas, storage areas, linen cupboard etc. The two conference rooms are bright and spacious, with one of around 112m2 with a capacity of 120 people and the other approximately half this size. They are fully equipped with all audio-visual equipment and materials required to cater for the multi-national company holding its AGM to the smaller society hosting, for example, a painting seminar or a yoga holiday. Collaborating with the adjacent 18-hole golf course, these conference rooms are very popular with many companies wishing to combine business with pleasure. There is a further conference room just beside the main hotel building also.
The hotel complex also boasts a guest shop, a gym with a wide selection of equipment and two treatment rooms, two tennis courts and two paddle courts, which use an organic watering system. The outdoor swimming pool has a 'ying and yang' appearance, as it is divided into three areas, with one area being particularly child-friendly. There is a pool bar and an open kitchen, again with views over the bay. Also housed beside the main hotel building is the magnificent Spa. With its circular indoor swimming pool, four feature columns as the focal point, there are a number of treatment/ massage rooms, beauty salon (with capacity for a hairdresser), plunge pool, jacuzzi, sauna, Turkish bath, sanatorium, hydro-massage pool and male and female changing rooms, showers etc.
Set in the sumptuous gardens are the 68 hotel suites of three different 'grades' - standard, super and family. In all suites, the standard of furnishings and decor is excellent and they all have marble floors, high beamed celings, televisions (with satellite), two-way air-conditioning/heating systems, as well as features such as safes, hairdryers, minibar, bathrobes etc, all to make a stay here the most pleasurable experience possible. In addition to the suites, there is a one-bedroom apartment in the main hotel area which enjoys views over the pool, gardens and bay and is also fully equipped to the highest standard.
There is parking to accommodate 60 cars outside and 14 under cover and this area is set apart from the hotel rooms and facilities to ensure uninterrupted views throughout.
Although the hotel complex is currently open around 8 months of the year, it did historically open all year round very successfully. The clientele is international with many guests coming from Germany, Switzerland, the Netherlands, Belgium, France, United Kingdom as well as loyal and returning Spanish guests. There are around 12/14 full time staff operating the hotel at present and all are trained to provide the excellence of service required by this 5-star establishment.
The newly built, luxury homes are available as 1-, 2- and 3-bedroom properties and are built in a Mediterranean style to complement the private estate feel to the area. The properties are all beautifully appointed, with high beamed ceilings, clay tiles and some have stone cladding to the exterior. All have gardens and terraces and are accessed through a private entrance. To the interior, the highest standard of workmanship and finishing has been employed throughout.
The land for building purposes is beside the existing properties and planning permission has already been granted for 1-, 2- and 3-bedroom dwellings, and with the land bordering on the Natural Park, no further building will be allowed, making this an oasis of calm for whoever invests in these homes.
